Whispering Mist

There is a soap called Whispering Mist that my bestie got for me, oh I don't know, a year or so ago? It is Handcrafted Goatmilk soap and was handmade in Iowa "using pure goat milk, saponified oils of coconut, soy, olive, castor oils and shea butter and fragrance. This specialty soap will gently cleanse and leave your skin softly scented...." Although I haven't tried this soap yet, it smells wonderful, a bit like roses, and it feels soft to touch.

The soap is wonderfully wrapped in the cutest, soft rose petal cloth and is a pretty neutral colored soap.

All in all, I am looking forward to using this soap in the future!

Have you tried handmade organic/goat milk soaps?

Sweet Treats

One Christmas about six years ago, I received a package of bath products from a friend of mine. I hadn't bothered with it until a couple years later, and I have been using the products every so often to preserve what is left.

These products are from Wal-mart, surprisingly enough, and are favorites of mine! Candy Apple is the trademark scent in this package, and the shower gel smells AMAZING! It even stays after stepping out of the shower, which surprises me to no end because not even my Sun Ripened Raspberries shower gel really does that. It smells SO yummy too. The little bath beads are lovely, yet they really are too small to do much. They used to give off a nice, strong scent, however they don't really anymore...Also, there was a lotion that once was in this package, but because I hadn't used it in a long time, the lotion dried up. That was a sad discovery....

These gifts came in a nice snowflake tin, which is cute to boot and very practical for storing my soaps in. Although this is a product from Wal-mart, I give it 10/10. Not only was it inexpensive (I assume) but it also is wonderful to use. Also, my skin can get pretty irritated by certain products, but this "cheap" product doesn't hurt my skin one bit!

How festive, eh? What is your favorite non-expensive product package? Not all inexpensive products are horrible after all!

BOMBS AWAY!

Okay, so I tried my first bath bomb (ever!) last Monday, and I have to say that it was pretty, erm, surprising. Granted, this bath bomb was from Wal-Mart and it is assumed that it wouldn't be THE best in the entire world, or even remotely comparable to Lush's stock for that matter. However, the bath bomb had its perks.

The bomb was about the size of a bomb from Lush, and it was Lavender scented. When I placed it in the water, the fizzing was exciting and enjoyable-until it ran out a minute later. Not only that, but the water, which had turned a bit of a nice milky color turned clear once more. The scent wasn't even apparent at all-although that could be because another bath bomb's scent was overpowering my bathroom. Needless to say, I will probably buy another one of these just to try it out once more. It did make my skin soft afterwards, which was very nice.

What is your favorite bath bomb?

I Vant To Bite Your Neck-lace (Hahaha~)

I bought this necklace from Claires (which is a store I evidently like, I now realize) and it is part of the True Blood franchise, I believe...? I honestly don't watch that show, but I have an IMMENSE interest in vampires and such. When I saw the necklace, I went berserk and bought it, haha. It is my favorite necklace to wear with a nice Twilight shirt-I own only one-or another printed tee. Although I wouldn't classify myself really as a person who is into "punk" or "gothic" things, vampires and fangs spark my interest. I commend those who are into goth and punk things because those styles are so admirable and creative!

All in all, this is a favorite piece of mine. :[

Sakura Petals-Lotion

This is a bottle of Cherry Blossom lotion from Bath and Body Works-love their stuff!

The small travel size is cute as can be, and this was given to me as a gift by another very close friend of mine. She knows my taste very well! This lotion smells extremely flowery, like the actual tree (I assume...) and is very smooth once rubbed on. It permeates a strong scent which remains throughout the entire day. What a lotion, eh?!

I also once owned a body spray bottle with this scent, and that was just as fantastic! Of Bath and Body's lotions, along with Sun Ripened Raspberries and Dark Kiss, I would recommend this! It is simply fabulous!

Haha, isn't the sunflower notebook beside it extremely cute? That was given to me by that bestie of mine. Floral is definitely in style right now, so I have been hyped up on sun flowers and decorating with flowers. I digress.

What lotion, out of the three I have reviewed so far, would you most likely buy?

So, About That Bag I Wanted...

So, there was a bag that I mentioned in my first bag review which I really wanted, but my mom and I had decided to let her keep that bag and give me the other one. Well....

Another Dark Kiss For Me? Oh My!

I have been SO excited to blog about this item since I bought it last Thursday!

So, I have the BEST friend in the entire universe, and she bought me a bottle of Dark Kiss! It smells SO delicious and is even better than the lotion! This spray has completely overtaken my previous obsession, Sun Ripened Raspberry spray, and is just so tasty! The scent is a bit fruity, very light, yet it has a tangy side to it. I love it! The bottle is sleek and dark as well, which I enjoy!

I guarantee I'll run out of this by the end of the month. What do you think?

French Soap, Oh-Ho-Ho~

Bonjour, mes amis! Je presente mon savon! (Okay, I'm a beginner French student, I tried my best.) Translation* Hello, my friends! I present my soap, haha!

Anyways, this is a bar of Rose scented shea butter soap. It is indeed a product of France, which delights me to no end, and was purchased from Disney world by that wonderful best friend of mine. She has the best taste in soaps, doesn't she?!

The soap is much pinker in real life and quite attractive. Not to mention that the scent is HEAVENLY! I can't stop smelling it as I type, it's so delicious! Although I haven't tried it yet, I look forward to! It claims to be very smooth and moisturizing, so we shall see!

Tell me, have you ever tried a soap from a foreign country? What country if so? Are there any soaps you would like to try from another country?

On the Road To Soft Hands

Satin Hands Pampering Set by Mary Kay is a life-saver. Or a hand-saver, rather.

In the Winter time, many hands become drier, sometimes cracked, and despite the pounds of lotion slathered on, nothing seems to help! However, I find that Satin Hands Pampering Set is a wonderful product to use to help this problem. My hands aren't dry in the first place, but I still love to feel the soft smoothness of my hands after using this product. It's like a dream!

The set comes with four bottles. First, the Extra Emollient Night Cream.
This cream is smooth, yet a bit waxy. The instructions say to massage the amount between hands and fingers.

The second product is the Satin Hands Buffing Cream.

This cream is rubbed between the fingers and on the hand as well. It is a bit coarse, but this is to rub away at the dry skin. Those with sensitive hands should find this product not very painful to use (I have sensitive hands), although the first time may be uncomfortable.

The third product is the Satin Hands Cleansing Gel.
After having rubbed both the Night Cream and Buffing Cream on your hands, next is the Satin Hands Cleansing Gel. This gel is very light and very smooth, a relief after the Buffing Cream. Having rubbed all of these onto the hands, the instructions say to rinse hands under warm water. Finally, after having dried them, the last bottle, Satin Hands Hand Cream, is used.

This lotion is made with SPF 4 and is a sunscreen to protect hands. However, I rarely use this after having completed the process. I usually go for another lotion of my choice, preferably Dark Kiss instead, to make my hands smell nicer than the slightly-unpleasant smell from the lotion.

Overall, I would recommend this product. It is fantastic, I have been using it for years, and they have a newer version which is packaged a lot nicer and smells a bit better (my version of the product is from 2000, so...).

Tell me, what's your favorite hand product to use? Would you consider buying this after having read the review?

Purple Exotic Lashes

My best friend bought me a duo pack of purple mascara and sparkly black eyeliner for Christmas. She knows me extremely well because purple has been my obsessive color for the past year.

The purple mascara is called 1000 Lashes and issued by Hard Candy, as is the eyeliner that it came with. The purple mascara is relatively easy to put on, although the wand bristles are a bit too trimmed down, and it isn't messy. It is relatively waterproof and stays on throughout the entire day without losing it's color. When I first applied the mascara, I was hoping to see a bright, vibrant color of purple. However, I couldn't see anything really at all! When I went to my classes later that day though, I was receiving compliments from left and right on the purple color. Although I still cannot see the color when I put on the mascara, I am confident that others can.

The eyeliner pencil is a simple black eyeliner with a sparkly edge. The sparkles ARE visible, and the pencil draws on an eyelid very well; the strokes are easy and smooth. I had never stepped out of my comfort zone with eyeliner, only using a brown to go with my blue eyes, but I feel comfortable using this black pencil. The name, Abyss, also gives it an amount of charm.

These products can be purchased at Walmart, so they are not too hard to get a hold of.

What is your favorite mascara product or eyeliner product to use?

Oh La La~

I was at a Model United Nations conference later in the week and had the privilege of going shopping while there. I bought this ring, along with another item that I will mention later on in the week, and was very excited after purchasing it!

The ring is basically two rings put together, which is only shown underneath my fingers. I was intrigued with the design and managed to snag the last one!

Although the ring restricts my pointer finger and middle finger together, I can still do normal tasks with my left hand with not a lot of problems at all.

I was also very happy with the price of this ring! It was on sale for $99.99! HAH, just kidding. I got the ring at Claire's for $3.50, and the original asking price was $8.50. If there's nothing I love more than buying expensive rings that look nice, it's buying cheaper rings that are unique and fun.

Tell me, what does your favorite ring look like? Do you prefer cheaper or more expensive rings?

A Dark Kiss For Me

I LOVE THIS LOTION! Excuse me while I proceed to fan-rave about this product.

I LOVE it!

This lotion, Dark Kiss, is simply enticing. It smells SO sweet, yet it has a velvety rich edge.

The product has key fragrance scents such as vanilla, dark berries, and plum. The website, at Bath and Body Works, spells out a more detailed description for this seductive body lotion.

What I have is a smaller version of the larger bottle, which can be purchased I believe. However, I also know that I received another bottle free from a promotion they were holding at the release of it last year, so the friend who gave this bottle to me as a gift may have gotten it from the free deal. Thus, the smaller bottle may no longer be in stock anymore. Just a heads up, I'm not sure. I'll look into it later.

Tell me, what is your favorite lotion? As you know, I am in love with the Sun Ripened Raspberry lotions, Dark Kiss, and soon there will be more of my favorites revealed!

Beauty Bags Galore!

This is the first beauty bag of mine that I will be doing a review over.

I have to say, first off, that I ADORE collecting beauty and makeup bags! They're a fantastic accessory for any girl (or guy, if so) to have! They're so convenient when needed to store makeup products OR to organize jewelry and such! Plus, with so many sizes, so many colors and styles to choose from, how could you NOT buy a beauty bag?

This is the current bag that I am using to store my immediate makeup products. I adore the design and color especially, but it really drew my eye because it reminds me of a classic Greek design. Blue and white are also a favorite color palette of mine.

The bag was issued as a sample bag with sample makeup products inside. Although my mom was the one who received the bag and products inside, she was generous enough to give me the bag. It is issued by Estee Lauder.

The inside is a dark blue as well, nice and silky and shiny. The bag itself is very lightweight and easy to carry by hand-I have tiny hands, so sometimes gripping a bag is a bit difficult when weight down with makeup.

More makeup bags are to come, so please check back! Tell me, what is your favorite storage device for storing makeup?

Pleasures Delight

Pardon the unoriginal title.

This perfume was purchased last year as a gift for my Birthday-moms are the best-and I am head over heels for it. This perfume is my signature scent, I'd have to say, and I choose it over my other perfume scents most of the time.

Although the bottle isn't very creative in terms of shape or glass color, I think it looks quite sophisticated, which is good enough for me! And although the color of the liquid appears orange, it's really a pinkish color. Yummy~! Haha! The packaging is pretty cute as well!

The perfume is issued by Estee Lauder, and it is made with a lot of ingredients..that I will not be typing out. However, bold scents of this perfume include vanilla, patchouli, rose, and marshmallow. If you aren't one for a flowery scent, then I wouldn't recommend this perfume. However, I think it smells like the epitome of flowers and a Spring day, so it's rather bright and cheery.

Sorry for the short review, I am having allergy problems and really can't think very well...But tell me, what is your favorite perfume scent?

Jasmine-Rejuvenating Vegetable Soap

This soap advertises itself as being "a scented soap made with quality ingredients, carefully crafted by traditional soapmakers in India".

My best friend bought this soap for me as a random pep gift, and I must say that I love the soap! It smells ABSOLUTELY wonderful-carries quite a strong scent!-and it is fantastic to use. The soap is gentle enough for hands, that is it isn't coarse as other soaps can be, and I use it to even clean my face! I admit that I've slipped up once or twice and accidentally got the soap in my eye, but those incidents only proved how wonderful the soap is. It didn't sting my eyes! Most soaps that I use (okay, well, a LARGE majority of the ones I own) sting my eyes, but this bar doesn't! Also, to get back to the scent, the scent of Jasmine is very therapeutic.

The bar is made of: hydrogenated rice bran wax, palm oil, coconut oil, water, coconut stearic acid, glycerin, perfume, citric acid,  sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide, and zinc oxide.

The soap is a product of Palam Rural Centre, Tamilnadu, India and is part of a nonprofit program of Mennonite Central Committee.

Lastly, I'd like to add how pleased I was by the packaging of the soap. Although the feeling of being charitable towards a third world country's products is self-satisfying and wonderful, appearance also makes a bar of soap worth purchasing.

Tell me, what are some of your favorite soaps? I will be doing reviews on a few other soaps later on, so please check back!

Sun Ripened Raspberries Never Smelled So Sweet~

This is a favorite brand of mine, Bath and Body Works, and I adore this signature scent of there's. Sun Ripened Raspberries smells as delicious as it sounds, a strong, pervading scent of sweet raspberries mixed with Florida orange, apple, and a base scent of vanilla.

I found a bottle of lotion with this spectacular scent about three or so years ago while rummaging through the towel closet, and I was extremely pleased. Not only that, but I also had found a bottle of shower gel with the same scent as well as a bar of soap (which was disappointing because I believe, if possible, that it had expired...). After using the bottles to their fill, I decided to seek out more products from the same scent-line, but came out empty handed. It turns out that this scent is no longer available in stores!
However, not giving up hope, I found their products online, and more than that, to my delight. On Bath and Body Work's webpage, they offer shower gel, regular lotion, body lotion, a perfume-y spray, hand soap, and scent plug-ins! This past Christmas, my grandparents had purchased for me two shower gels, two regular lotions, one body lotion, one perfume spray, and two hand soaps!

The hand soap on the left, as you can see, is nearly empty. I have been using this product since Christmas, and I never tire of the drooling scent it permeates.
The bottle next to it has yet to be opened, but I'm saving that for when the first hand soap kicks the bucket, haha!
The body lotion is very nice, however I have an almond allergy, therefore I can't use it...Quite a disappointment, but the hand soap beside it is just as nice and can be used on the body as well. The hand soap compensates for those who are allergic to almond like I am.
The shower gel is wonderful and smells delicious in the shower, however upon stepping out of the shower there is a subtle scent. Perhaps I just can't smell it because it's on me, and scents don't seem as strong to people once they've become accustomed to it after putting it on, but I still continue to use this product almost daily. It leaves my skin soft, which is good enough for me! Only one is shown in the picture because the other one is in my shower, nearly finished as well, haha!
Finally, the perfume-y spray seen on the far right is going to have to be my favorite product out of the line. I use this spray to give myself a nice-smelling boost before classes, or even to lighten the air in a room. I would recommend this out of all the products, but I am extremely partial to spritz sprays.

If anyone has any questions, please ask! I'm willing to share more products in the future, so please keep reading~! Also, if anybody has any products to recommend, please do! What is your favorite Bath and Body product?

Another blog-oh my!

I have been so inspired lately by the fashion and beauty blogs that I follow, not to mention that I'm also inspired by the world around me, so I thought that I would present my ideas and favorite beauty products/tips to the blogging society! (Not like this site needs another beauty blogger; there are already so many wonderful ones out there!)

Please be sure to check out my other blog, ExactaCrafts, to see what I'm making up to date. ;)

*Fair warning. I am just an amateur, not a professional beautician. This blog is just to share my beauty ideas and review products.
